I am a Professor of Economics and a member of the AXES research group. I am also Honorary Professor in the Department of Politics and International Studies (PAIS) at the University of Warwick and Senior Research Fellow at RAND Europe.
My research has received funding from the AXA Research Fund, the British Academy, the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), the Folke Bernadotte Academy, the Swedish Research Council, UNU-WIDER, and the World Bank.
My research interests include civil-military relations, defense economics,international migration, military interventions, political economy, and terrorism.
